I’m a typography teacher at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. In 2007, I started a research project with juniors and seniors taking advanced typography. I asked them to research examples of type and lettering related to the history of New Bedford, Massachusetts. I realized how little there is out there about how type lives in our society. Wanting more, I started HistoricType.com. Thank you for being part of this resource. Without you, it wouldn’t exist.
