At HistoricType.com, our goal is to collect, document, and preserve images of type and lettering on old signs and buildings in the United States.

Help us build our collections.

Submit an image and tell us as much about the letters and type as you can. The only required (*) information is the state the letters/type lives (lived) in and what the sign says (said)… but we hope you can tell us more, so others can search for and find the images you submit.

If you don’t know the information requested, just leave it as “unknown.” We’ll update as many “unknown” tags as we can.
